The new government and the new Prime Minister are called to implement a policy that has no democratic legitimacy. And therefore, the most suitable to undertake this task is a person that has never been elected and has never given account to the Greek people.
This development constitutes a blatant distortion of popular sovereignty.
The most fanatic supporters of the Memorandum in the Parliament, the media and the Cabinet gave a fight to impose this development.
The choice of Mr Papademos is a guarantee for all them, that he will continue with greater intensity and consistency the same policy, which has destroyed us until today.
The policy which raised the percentage of youth unemployment to 43.5% and caused the closure of over than 200,000 small and medium companies. The policy of national humiliation and social plunder.
Once the whole Europe is paying the high price of the choices of the European leadership and the ECB, the ex Vice-President of the ECB is presented as the solution to the crisis created by the policies he served.
It's really tragic of the new Prime Minister to ask for new sacrifices, in the name of the agreement of 26 October, while this agreement has already collapsed under the thunder of the Italian crisis. These new sacrifices will include layoffs, contributions, cuts and surrender of popular sovereignty and national dignity.
The parties which will support this government, either through their participation or with their vote of tolerance, will bear co-responsibility for social disintegration, the decline of democracy, economic and social bankruptcy.
The duty of all progressive and democratic forces of this country is to fight collectively and with unity for the final overthrow of this policy, for quickest possible new national election.
For a new coalition of power, aiming at the recovery of national and popular sovereignty, for a new course of development, redistribution of wealth and social justice.
