SYN President sends congratulatory message to the newly elected President of the Palestinian Authority

Dear Mr. President,

On behalf of the Central Political Committee of the Coalition of the Left of Movements and Ecology (SYNASPISMOS) and myself, I congratulate you warmly on your election to the post of President of the Palestinian Authority.

I wish you wholeheartedly every success to your very difficult task so that the dreams of the Palestinian people for an end of the occupation and the retreat of Israel to the pre-1967 borders and the creation of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital can finally become a reality. A solution through ρreliable negotiations, on the basis of the UN resolutions, will serve the interests of both Palestinians and Israelis while it will also contribute greatly to a secure peace in the whole of the Middle East.

I wish to take this opportunity to assure you of the unfailing solidarity of our party to the suffering, friend Palestinian people
